According to the budget that Governor McCrory signed (House Bill 1030), Teachers and Instructional Support receive a step increase. Increases including the step: range from 2.1% to 13.1% Average increase 4.7%. No Bonus.
Assistant Principals and Principals steps are increased by an average of 1.5% with a bonus of 0.5% (not subject to retirement) to be paid out in October 2016.
Non-certified/Classified Staff and Central Office Permanent full time personnel who were employed in 2015-16 will receive a 1.5% increase with a bonus 0.5% (not subject to retirement) to be paid out in October 2016.

July checks for 12 month certified personnel (teachers, instructional support, principals and assistant principals) will have the raises reflected in them.
Non-certified personnel (classified staff) and Central Office personnel who are eligible for the 1.5% raise, will not see this raise in their July check. Due to time constraints, the non-certified/classified salary schedule was not updated prior to the July checks being deposited. The August checks should reflect the correct amounts for the non-certified/classified and Central Office. The retro amount back to July will be included in the August paycheck as well.
August checks will include all salary increases for all employees.
